Allow Lodge Brothers Cobham to help with funeral arrangements

Cobham crop

Arranging a funeral in Cobham will be much easier now that Lodge Brothers have recently opened their new branch in Cobham. The new funeral home at 3 Hollyhedge Road will be managed by Robert Lodge, who is the seventh generation descendant of James Lodge who founded Lodge Brothers in 1780.  Experienced Funeral Arranger Claire Nightingale who is moving from the G. Boutell in Byfleet will assist him.

Commenting on why the company had opened in Funeral Directors Cobham, the Chairman of Lodge Brothers, Robert Lodge explained “We have considered opening in Cobham for a number of years but have been waiting for the right location to become available.

The new premises have been extensively refurbished to provide comforting and informal surroundings, including a Chapel of Rest and a private meeting room for families to discuss funeral arrangements.

Lodge Brothers have been helping and advising families in Surrey for over 225 years.  Today the company is run by six members of the Lodge family (Andrew, Robert, Christopher, Michael, Beverley and Janet) who are the seventh generation of family owned funeral directors.

As well as arranging and carrying out funerals, the new Englefield Green branch will be offering advice and help with Floral Tributes Cobham, Prepaid Funerals Cobham and Memorials & Headstones Cobham

RUMM assist clients in cost and carbon reduction

RUMM energy management services Wales and energy management services UK sales director Jamie Watkins is set to run the London Marathon on 13th April this year.

Jamie’s best friend was suddenly hit with blood cancer 4 years ago and was in ICU for 4 weeks, desperately ill and fighting for his life.

He had a long hard battle to recover which he eventually won, thanks to the Anthony Nolan Trust.

Jamie will be running for the Anthony Nolan trust this year which had a huge impact on saving his friends life.

Anthony Nolan is a pioneering charity that saves the lives of people with blood cancer. Every day, they use their register to match remarkable donors willing to donate their blood stem cells to people who desperately need lifesaving transplants.

This is a huge achievement for Jamie; he has been training extremely hard over the last few months, morning, noon, night and in all weather conditions. He has also had to face some tough personal and family issues along the way, but this has not deterred him.

Cancer will have an impact on all of us at some point during our lives whether it is us, family or friends.

We are asking if you can please show your support in beating cancer and donating as much as you possibly can.

The energy management services UK team would like to congratulate Jamie on his dedication and commitment to this race and we would like him to know that we are extremely proud of him.

We all wish you well for the big day Jamie and as they say….break a leg, we know you are going to “smash it”!!

What clients are saying about our platonic rent a friend?

Have a look at what clients are saying about Dukes of Daisy rent a friend service and their platonic friend London service.

What a night! I just wanted to say I had an amazing time with Aaron and he treated me like a Lady!

I will be booking again soon!” AnitaLondon

I was a little bit nervous when thinking about using male escorts, a colleague uses this service monthly and spoke highly of Darren. Once I got in contact with Darren over the phone he put me at ease. We met in a pub close to my office for drinks and meal. He was a perfect gentlemen and he filled my evening with lots of laughs. Will definitely recommend” MargaretLondon

“Nicole seemed like the type of woman I had always been interested in but never confident enough to approach on the street or at a bar. Having a woman like her all to myself for the evening felt great and would encourage other gents to try it out for themselves before they shake their heads” DaleLondon

I just want to thank you so much for making it possible for me to have such a fun night. After my divorce 2 years ago I lost all my confidence and thought I’d never be able to go out with men again. I decided to book Aaron based on a testimonial I read on the site. Either we really connected or he is damn good at what he does!” LindseyBasildon

He was a true gentleman, charming and handsome, I had a wonderful night and have booked him for another date after payday! Many thanks Elle, Birmingham

I suffer from anxiety on and off it affects me mostly in big social events. In the past I would always avoid any big gatherings particularly work parties unless I could find a friend male friend to go with me. I went on a trial date with David so I could get a feel if he was right for the monthly office do where they encourage partners along. We got on well, he has a really calming effect that I can’t quite explain and I have placed my next booking for next month.” Kate M, East London

Visiting the great city of London is always a pleasure, though not in the winter. Summer months are pleasant and more bearable than Delhi I can assure you. It is always nice to have a female companion to enjoy myself at the Theatre House and in a traditional English beer garden. I wish Daisy will continue to look after me upon each visit with good company from her companions.” Vimal Patel, Delhi

Emma Thompson helps turn Nanny McPhee films into children’s ballet

My daughters friend Annabelle Adey from Epsom, Surrey is Nappy McPhee in the London Childrens Ballet this month. Take the children for some fabulous kids entertainment in London.

A children’s ballet based on Emma Thompson’s hit Nanny McPhee movies is to receive its premiere in London next month after the star gave the go-ahead for the show.

The Oscar-winning actress, who wrote the scripts and appeared in the films, offered to help with the dance show, with the backing of Universal Studios, after seeing an earlier production by London Children’s Ballet.

The charity campaigns to make the art accessible to young people from all backgrounds.

Artistic director Lucille Briance said she read many books to try to find great stories for shows, adding: “I’m always looking for a story that has a really strong dramatic line.”

But the charity, now in its 20th year, could not afford to spend money on rights, so Thompson’s help was a blessing.

Mrs Briance said: “She is the most marvellous philanthropic person.” Thompson, who wrote the films based on Christianna Brand’s Nurse Matilda books, is set to attend the premiere of the ballet on April 24.

Annabelle Adey, 14, from Epsom, Surrey, will take the title role. The teenager, who has been dancing since she was two, said it was “really exciting”, adding: “It’s such a big production and a much bigger stage than I have ever danced on before. It’s like a dream.”

Cameron Nolan, 10, from Banstead, Surrey, said it was “amazing” to have the chance to play Sebastian, one of Nanny’s charges.

Around 550 children aged nine to 16 auditioned for 60 parts.

Nanny McPhee is at the Peacock Theatre from April 24 to 27.

Marquee Hire your one stop marquee hire shop

Read how popular it is to hire a Marquee, fun was had by all at this very special occasion there were no concerns over the weather when you hire a marquee you can do so with 100% confidence especially with the UK largest marquee hire in West Sussex hiring a marquee is the way to go in order to not spoil your event.

Marquee Hire Hyatt Regency, Portman Square, London.

We were approached by a prestigious London hotel that needed to accommodate a large number of guests for an opening party for a conference. Notwithstanding that, due to the location of the site, in central London, restrictions and build times were tight with a number of constraints surrounding the build and de-rig.

Our success in delivering highly successful corporate events meant we were well placed to consult and assist from concept to delivery.

Due to the relaxed tone of the event, our team suggested using a number of marquees to maximise the use of the garden and enhance the feel of the event. In addition we also used a range of atmospheric lighting throughout the marquees Layout of main marquee, with soft seating and bar area.

The final layout comprised of a reception marquee, main marquee with soft seating and bar, with a central area surrounded with a number of Chinese hats used as food stations providing a variety of fabulous food and a small marquee for a band and speeches.

Trafalgar also looked after the supply of a number of services such as providing luxury loos, provision of power and distribution for the event, ensuring the evening was a success.
